How Power Sunroofs Work

The sunroof is a horizontal panel, usually made of glass, located on a vehicle’s roof. Primarily, sunroofs provide personal enjoyment by letting fresh air and sunlight into the cabin. Unlike older sunroofs which are opened by hand, power sunroofs are moved by an electric motor with the simple push of a button or flip of a switch.

Many power sunroofs slide back along tracks in the roof, while others tilt open at one edge. Because a power sunroof relies on electricity to work, a sunroof that loses power may stay stuck open or closed until it is repaired.

Customer Testimonials

We stand by our work.

- The owner John is very knowledgeable and the whole staff is friendly. I came for an oil change and to have my tires serviced (rotation, alignment and balance) because I thought they needed it. John told me I didn't need service to my tires and they rode very well; no need to spend the money on a service that wasn't needed. We all know many establishments would try to push a service for a dollar so his honesty is appreciated. Reasonable pricing and great service. Highly recommend! Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

- I had slow leak from a nail puncture and I was told by another tire shop that run flat tires could not be fully patched. He said it would cost $75 for a temporary fix but he recommended replacing, so I bought another tire online. [...] Thomas did such great work that it was not a temp fix at all and basically let me know the other place did not know what they were talking about. I have had no issues with the tire and its been over 3 months. He also said the repair came with a lifetime warranty so this place is all good in my book. Highly recommend. Service: Tires
